Surprise PEC Proposal At Sandbanks Beach | Abraham & Harman
There’s something undeniably magical about a sunset at Sandbanks Beach — and for Abraham and Harman, it became the setting of a life-changing moment they’ll never forget.
When Abraham first reached out to me about planning a surprise proposal at Sandbanks, we immediately got to work dreaming up the perfect plan. They were coming to Prince Edward County for a vacation, and he wanted to make sure the moment felt thoughtful, intimate, and unforgettable. After weeks of secret planning (and lots of nervous energy on both our parts), we landed on a plan: sunset, chocolate, and a story Harman would believe just enough to keep the surprise intact.
Abraham told Harman they needed to be at Sandbanks Beach at exactly 8pm to watch the sunset and eat chocolate — something he claimed he had “seen on Reddit” as a must-do in PEC. As they drove there, Harman was confused about why Abraham was driving 45 km/hr on an 80 zone highway, but he was just trying to stall so the timing lined up perfectly. (Iconic move, honestly.)
And the wildest part? Harman had never seen a sunset before.
So when they finally arrived, golden light pouring over the water, she thought it was just going to be a beautiful moment together — but then Abraham got down on one knee.
She was completely surprised. She had no idea what was coming.
She had actually been worried earlier in the day because Abraham seemed off… what she didn’t know was that he was just filled with nerves, carrying the weight of one very big question.
The proposal itself was absolutely perfect. The weather behaved, the beach was glowing, and her reaction said it all. And the ring? STUNNING. Massive, sparkly, and designed by Harman herself — a perfect reflection of her style.
Getting to photograph proposals is always an honour. But this one? This one felt extra special. The planning, the nerves, the first sunset, the joy. Every detail came together, and it was such a gift to witness it all unfold.
