Ally & Luuk’s Intimate Civil Ceremony at The Cape | Prince Edward County Elopement
Some weddings are small in size but overflowing with meaning — and Ally and Luuk’s intimate civil ceremony at The Cape in Prince Edward County was the perfect example.
With a larger celebration planned in France, they chose to legally tie the knot here in PEC with just their immediate family. What started as a quiet civil ceremony turned into something truly special, even as the weather shifted their plans.
We began with portraits at the beautiful Merrill House, where Ally wore the most stunning white pant suit — classic, cool, and completely her. The two of them were so calm and in sync, and even in the drizzle, there was such a peaceful rhythm to the whole afternoon.
Their ceremony was originally planned for outside, but when the rain rolled in, we moved everything indoors at The Cape — and honestly? It couldn’t have been more perfect. The space was filled with fresh lilacs, their scent wrapping around everyone in the room, and the soft rain outside only made the moment feel cozier and more intimate. Craig Logan did an amazing job as the officiant, as always.
It was quiet. Personal. Beautifully theirs.
If you’re planning a civil ceremony in Prince Edward County, know that it doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful. Even one hour together can hold so much love, connection, and emotion.
Ally & Luuk — thank you for letting me be part of your rainy, romantic, perfect day. What a lovely beginning to your story.
