Cozy In-Home Newborn Session | Madori, Michael + Baby Letty
There’s something so grounding about slowing down and documenting life at home; especially in those first few weeks of welcoming a new little one.
This sunny October day with Madori, Michael, and their baby girl, Letty, was the kind of session that reminds me why I love what I do.
It was one of those beautiful fall days where the light feels extra warm, but cool enough that you still want a blanket nearby. I met Madori, Michael, and their sweet little girl, Letty, at home for their newborn session, and the second I walked in I knew it was going to be a good one.
The house was full of soft, natural light; every room glowing just a little differently. We started in the living room, where the sun poured through the windows and wrapped around them. Letty was such a calm little baby bird, completely content being passed between her parents, happy in their arms.
Later, we moved to the bedroom where the light softened even more where they snuggled up on the bed, laughing quietly, and you could just feel how natural it all was. There’s something about photographing new parents that feels so sacred; it’s a mix of calm, awe, and a kind of love that’s still unfolding in real time.
This session felt exactly how fall does; peaceful, grounded, and full of warmth. It’s a season that always reminds me to slow down and notice the little things: the light, the quiet, and the way families settle into new rhythms together.
