There are some weddings that just stay with you forever, and Olivia and Phil’s classic wedding at the Isabel Bader Centre in Kingston, Ontario is one I’ll never forget.

From the moment I arrived, I knew it was going to be something special. I started the day with Olivia and her bridesmaids, and it immediately set the tone for what was to come.

Olivia had every detail ready for me as she finished up her makeup ; calm, graceful, and glowing. Each and every girl was so sweet and lovely, just like her. The energy in that room was joyful and light, filled with laughter and excitement as the day began to unfold.

The Isabel Bader Centre has always been one of my dream Kingston wedding venues; it’s modern yet timeless, with clean lines, stunning architecture, and an energy that somehow feels like it belongs to another era. It’s elegant in the most effortless way, sitting right on the water with views that shift beautifully as the light changes.

Olivia and Phil are one of those couples who make love look easy. They’re calm, composed, and so deeply in sync; the kind of pair who remind you that when it’s right, it’s just right. Even when the rain briefly interrupted their plans and we had to pivot for their first look indoors, they didn’t miss a beat. The way they laughed together, completely unbothered by the weather, was such a reflection of who they are. And when the sun finally came back out, iIt was pure magic. We stepped outside and captured some of my favourite photos, bathed in the most beautiful golden light.

The day felt like a perfect blend of modern romance and classic sophistication. The bridesmaids wore bright pinks that popped beautifully against the guys’ black tuxes and bow ties, while the florals and décor felt clean, soft, and timeless. Their ceremony was led by Craig Logan and took place in a glass-filled room overlooking the water; moody, elegant, and filled with emotion. You could feel the love circulating in that space, from the way they looked at each other to the heartfelt speeches that followed. As the evening went on, the sun began to set through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the reception space, flooding the room with the most breathtaking glow. It felt like a breath of fresh air; the kind of evening that’s impossible to recreate.

Everything about their day felt aligned, like it unfolded exactly as it was meant to. From the setting to the energy to the way every single detail came together, it was one of those weddings that reminded me why I love what I do so much. Olivia and Phil, thank you for trusting me to capture such a meaningful and beautiful part of your story. Your wedding was truly a dream.
