A Dreamy Beach Wedding at the Jellyfish Restaurant in Punta Cana

From the moment I landed in Punta Cana, I had a feeling this wedding was going to be something special. Jenn and Ben’s day at the Jellyfish Restaurant was the perfect blend of relaxed, beachy, and dreamy; the kind of celebration that reminds you what weddings are really all about.

Everything was intentional but effortless. From the ocean breeze to the insanely beautiful florals, you could tell every detail was chosen with love. What really stood out though was the energy — every single guest was genuinely so happy to be there. It felt like one long exhale, like everyone had been waiting for this exact moment.

And then there was Ben… sweet, emotional Ben. He teared up all day long — during the ceremony, the speeches, even during portraits. Jenn, on the other hand, wore this massive, joyful smile the whole time. The contrast was beautiful. It was emotional and lighthearted in the best way.

The Night Before: Rehearsal at the Majestic Colonial

The evening before the wedding, I got to spend a few quiet moments with Jenn and Ben at our resort, the Majestic Colonial. You could feel the nerves starting to set in; that soft, jittery energy that always hits the night before something big. But more than anything, the night was filled with excitement.

They wandered the resort hand-in-hand, soaking in the last few moments before stepping into their wedding day. We snapped a handful of portraits before dinner, and they’re some of my favorite images — relaxed, glowy, and full of anticipation. You could feel the love, even in the quiet.

The Wedding Day

The morning of the wedding started slow, in the best way. Jenn and her girls got ready at a nearby Airbnb with the most incredible glam team; truly, a breath of fresh air. They were quick, kind, and somehow made the morning feel even more peaceful.

Ben got ready close by, and even though they didn’t do a first look, you could feel how connected they were. It was like the whole day was unfolding in sync; calm, breezy, and full of love.

Their ceremony took place on the beach at the Jellyfish Restaurant, tucked among the palm trees with the ocean right behind them. The florals were unreal — vibrant, tropical, lush — they added this perfect pop of color against the soft sand and blue water. And of course, Ben cried. Again. Jenn just smiled at him the whole time, which honestly made it even sweeter.

Sunset, String Lights, and a Dance Floor That Never Quit

As the sun set, guests gathered under string lights for dinner and speeches. The evening felt intimate and warm — the kind of setting where every word hits a little deeper. Then, the party started.

And when I say party, I mean it. Their MC/officiant kept the energy high from start to finish and Jenn and Ben’s playlist? Impeccable. No one left the dance floor all night. It was sweaty, joyful chaos and I loved every second of it.

The Kind of Day You Never Forget

Jenn and Ben, thank you. Thank you for trusting me with your memories, for making me feel like part of the crew, and for bringing Sam and I on the trip of a lifetime. We felt so taken care of and inspired the entire time — from the resort pool days to the sweaty dance floor at midnight, it was nothing short of magic.

I don’t usually take on destination weddings, but I always say yes if Sam can come with me. This trip reminded me why — because moments like these are meant to be captured with heart, and there’s nothing better than getting to do that alongside your best friend.

To future couples dreaming of sandy toes, palm trees, and sunset vows — if you’re planning a destination wedding and want someone who will capture it all with intention (and maybe do a little dancing too), I’d love to talk.
